Former front man for Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver Scott Weiland was found dead on his tour bus in Bloomington, Minnesota, aged 48. He had been traveling and performing with his current group, The Wildabouts and was scheduled to perform Friday December 4, 2015 in Rochester, Minnesota. According to a police dispatch audio clip posted by TMZ, he suffered from “possible cardiac arrest”, however all that’s been confirmed is that he died in his sleep, but that actual cause of death is currently unknown.
The news of his death began to spread late Thursday (December 3, 2015) night when Dave Navarro tweeted “Just learned our friend Scott Weiland has died. So gutted, I am thinking of his family tonight.” However, this tweet has since been removed. Since then, there has been a myriad of tweets in remembrance, including tweets from Glenn Hughes, Duff McKagan, Lenny Kravitz- to name a few.
Scott was an amazing front man and will be forever missed by many.
