Rock and roll super group The Dead Daisies are back with their latest and best album yet, Make Some Noise. The Dead Daisies currently consists of David Lowy, John Corabi, Marco Mendoza, Brian Tichy and somewhat of a Dead Daisies newcomer Doug Aldrich, who brings his guitar expertise to the album to help create a fully cohesive release. Make Some Noise consists predominately of original songs, however there are two covers in the mix which fit right in with the style and sound of the album- “Fortunate Son” originally done by Creedence Clearwater Revival and “Join Together”, originally done by The Who. Differing from their professional music backgrounds of bands like Dio, Motley Crue and Whitesnake, Make Some Noise is very southern rock inspired which ultimately goes over well with both the originals and the covers. John Corabi’s vocal abilities are perfect for this record- an ideal blend of rasp and clarity which creates a unique, southern sound to match the overall feel of the record.
The title track “Make Some Noise” is a total anthem, and translates as such whether you’re hearing it live in concert or simply in your car with the volume turned all the way up. Make Some Noise is sure to be a favorite among fans of The Dead Daisies, and makes for a great and accurate introduction to the band for those who are less familiar.
